Where do super-heroes get all their intelligence from?
For example, the Fantastic Four have their headquarters in a big building in some city. It's distinctively styled, and kinda obvious. How do they manage to prevent some evil villain from, you know, leveling that city block? Or flying a plane into it?
With some exceptions, they can't possibly do all their legwork themselves, especially given the world-spanning escapades many supers enjoy. It seems to me that they super-heroes must employ a vast network of informers, agents, handlers, intelligence analysts (although that last set could be replaced by a self-aware megacomputer knocked together in Reed Richards' spare time, I suppose), and so forth. Not being a big comic book person, how do they get wind of the latest big plot? Or do they generally find out after the villain blows up/robs/mutates/enslaves some large portion of the super-heroes' adoring public?

Re: From Keith
ACTUALLY, he isnt far from the truth. Nearly all beat up the bad guy action seems to come after the super heros watch the action on the breaking news or cop scanners...just like the ex-cops and ambulance chasers.
